Our development process

We often start with a sketch or an idea for a function.
With Bold Objects, we focus on products that function through material strength and geometry – not just through form.

The term "Bold" is deliberately chosen:
Just as a bold font is thicker and more present than normal text, we work with thick, broadly extruded material layers. These "bold" layers give our objects stability, character, and new functional possibilities.

Boldextrusion

Boldextrusion is our development and design unit where we design and optimize products together with clients.
Here we use the process of broadly extruded material layers to create more than just an outer shape:
We design function through material – resilience, flexibility, spring, structure.

The material thickness creates properties that can be used in many ways. We specifically combine these capabilities with design to develop objects that are technically functional and at the same time have a clear, graphic presence.

The Flow Chair

The Flow Chair was born from the exploration of form and movement:
How can a rigid body made from a single piece be designed to be movable – but controlled?

The simple, flowing form of the chair conceals a thoughtful composition of material thickness, lines, and structure.

Thus, the chair remains stable, but at the same time can flex elastically and offer a dynamic seating experience.

Material & Color

Our products are predominantly made from recycled PETG – a safe, non-toxic, durable, and 100% recyclable material. Many of our pieces can also be used outdoors.

We process PETG as pellets, print it in thick layers, and color it in the desired shades.
Depending on the project, custom colors are possible.
